February Budget - Just Made It or did I Break it??

February Budget 'Cuse My French I broke the bloody hell out of the bank!! It has taken me a few extra weeks to get my budget post up for February because I knew I busted the bank wide open...I just wasn't ready to share yet! LOL I couldn't really be mad at myself though.  Even though I have set myself to stay on budget, some things just can't be helped. As every knows sewing IS an EXPENSIVE career or hobby in my case.  It is also an investment.  So with that said I will show you how I busted the month of February, but it was a one time purchase! Peep Show Dress in the works!! Part 1

Starting from the bottom! I'm drafting a dress pattern for me!! So I haven't posted in a few days because I have been soooo busy with work and my kids sports!!  Not to worry though....I have slowly but surely been working on creating a perfect fit dress pattern for me. It is supposed to be strapless, but the more I think about it, it may become a halter dress. I will decide when I get further along. I will be using eyelet fabric and lavender lining fabric that purchased from Joann Fabrics a few months ago. I will have posts of my progress of this creation.  We shall see if this is one of my failures or another triumph! Stayed tuned!! Until Next Time!!✌️ Stephanie Posted from my iPhone

Fabric Haul Part 3, Fabric.com

*Fabric haul* Part 3 Fabric.com I am completely addicted to fabric now. I have joined the club with people that go shopping for clothes as a therapeutic way to get over anger, sadness or frustrations among other reasons. I am also part of the club with people that say if you see it now you better get it because it may not be there next time!! While at work one day during a lunch break I decided to browse Fabric.com   (there is no such thing as browse BTW) and see what type of sales they had going on. My package has arrived!!  Click on the name of the fabrics to find out more information from Fabric.com . Charmeuse Satin Mod Dot Blush/Silver The dress I plan on making with this will be so cute!  An APRN I work with suggested adding a black belt or sash to break up the polka dots.  Just the thought of how I WANT it to turn out makes me happy! LOL  Kaufman Laguna Stretch Jersey Knit Chevron Emerald I have a couple of patterns I ...

Part 2 of my Joann's Shopping Trip ---Fabric Haul

*Fabric haul* Part 2 Joann Fabrics Shopping Trip If you haven't read Part 1 of my Joann Fabrics shopping trip, please do!! I had so much fun in the store last week. I had a whole shopping list of what I was looking for and I normally don't.  I like to walk in and let inspiration flow, but I was on a mission that day!! All the fabric I bought was cut for 2 yards.  I always but 2 yards.  One, to be on the safe side if I need more. Two, so I have scraps to make my memory quilt later on down the line. The white cotton material at the top was bought to make a pair of white leggings.  I made a pair of black ones using a Leggings YouTube Tutorial from The Crafty Gemini and I was instantly fascinated with how fast and easy it was to make my first pair of leggings. So...because I wanted to make a few more COMFORTABLE scrub tops for work I decided to stick with the Joann's Easy Care and Wash Fabric.  I also bought the fabric when i...
