DIY   - Kid's Romper -  McCall's M7151 View C I have no idea why these pictures came out so fuzzy.  It could be because it was a cloudy day, but I had to post this because it's too darn cute!! I don't normally make too much for my kids because honestly they don't like the patterns that are in the store.  I guess they aren't "Cool Enough" compared to the apparel that is in the store.  The other problem is my daughter DOES NOT like to wear dresses and there seems to be many "Girly Dresses" in the book that turns her off. We were flipping through the pattern book at Joann Fabrics and she came across the romper  in the McCall's pattern book. Now to her this was meant for her because the "Romper Style is In Mom".  She picked out her own fabric as well. We bought about 2 yards of a light weight jersey knit striped fabric.  I know I took a picture of the bolt, but it must have been deleted from my phone at so...

Hello Blogger World, I have been MIA for an entire month.  I thought about my blog almost everyday, but could not get a minute to open my laptop and jot down a few thoughts or say what I have been up too.  After my grandfather passed at the end of May it has been non-stop.  I will work backwards through the last month. My daughter was selected for an all-star softball team and made it all the way to the championship game (which was yesterday) and the lost by 3!!! The team and the parents were devastated because we watched these girls work so hard an train for a month!! I ordered some swimwear fabric from across the country.  I was so excited to get I waited all week for it, just to have it stolen from my mail-room 5 min after it was dropped off. Long story short..I know who did it, I threatened them with my softball bat, case number given from police, made every call possible to store, FedEx, landlord, they were evicted, and I had the fabric reshipped to m...

Hi Everyone, Sorry I have been away for sometime now.  My life has become very busy as of late and I have not had the time to actually blog.  Not to say that I have not thought about the blog or to see what is going on in the blogging world, just have not been able to get to it. 1) Around this time of year between both my children they have three sports going on that literally take up Monday thru Saturday between practices and games! My daughter came in 2nd place in the Home Derby and also hit her first home run in a game this season.  My son is in t-ball and he is doing pretty well learning the concept of the game we know as Baseball! 2) The hospital seems to be extremely busy this time of the year, so I have been working a lot more and training on a new computer software that the hospital is using now.  Electronic Medical Record here our department comes!! 3) I have been dealing with 2 deaths in my family that were really close to each other in time...

My daughter had her first spring soccer game today. They won today 5-0. She didn't score in this game, but she had 2 assists which is basically scoring in my eyes.  And my son playing t-ball. It's so cute to see these little 5-6yr old boys hitting off the t and running all over the place. Even running straight to 3rd base instead of 1st. Too cute!! I will say that during half I was thinking about the sewing projects I have sitting on my table right now. I was also thinking about taking a week vacation off of work so I can work on projects. Hello fellow Bloggers, I am eating my breakfast and on my way out the door for a 10 hour work day, but still feel like I have to say something because nothing just doesn't cut it.  I have a million sewing ideas, fabric, books, patterns, almost finished and finished products that I want to share....just have to find the time with work and "Oh Yeah" being MOM!!  I guess you don't realize (myself included) how much time and effort it takes.  I just have to remember for me, it is FUN and NOT WORK!! So on a fun note....I want to share a picture of my daughter.  This past Tuesday was her first softball game of the season.  She plays fall soccer, basketball, softball and also spring soccer at the same time.  She loves her sports and I am so proud of her.  She's pretty good too!!
